Line-preserving modes normalize Windows and older Mac line endings to a newline. Whitespace follows JavaScript rules, including non-breaking spaces; invisible zero-width spaces are left unchanged.
When is a whitespace remover useful?

How do I remove all spaces and line breaks?
Choose Remove all whitespace. This removes spaces, tabs, line breaks, and non-breaking spaces, joining the remaining characters together. For example, A B C becomes ABC.
Can I keep paragraphs while removing extra spaces?
Yes. The default Remove extra spaces mode preserves line breaks, including blank lines between paragraphs. Use Remove blank lines separately if you want to delete empty lines.
Does this remove non-breaking spaces or zero-width spaces?
The tool handles non-breaking spaces as whitespace. It does not remove zero-width spaces such as U+200B, which are not matched by JavaScript whitespace rules.
Is this an HTML or code minifier?
No. This tool changes whitespace in plain text without parsing HTML or programming languages. Whitespace changes can affect code, preformatted text, and Markdown, so review the result before using it.
